This is really neat, and such an important step forward for the world.
Makes me want a netbook, but then I remember I have an iPhone. On the other side, I think I may try throwing just about everything in the cloud in the new year. I gave up mail programs like Apple Mail, Entourage, etc. long ago in favor of running Gmail through my browser. All e-mail stored online. Google Wave is making things easier for work. Google Docs is starting to seem a lot better than Word (and I generally use Text Edit anyway)… Music services are getting better - as are video services…
Basically, once I can dump torrenting in favor of an all-inclusive subscription-based, online-based HTPC solution, I can dump most of my “physical” data in favor of putting everything up in the cloud, which seems more secure anyway. The only thing left on my hard drives will be thousands of gigs of After Effects, Final Cut, Creative Suite, etc, project files that I’ll most certainly never use again.
Ah. Neat.
